Mind Body and Spirit Meditation  

Stretch and breathing techniques to relax the mind-body and spirit and gain clarity and peace within oneself with relaxing rhythms and sounds.  Meditation helps the whole family. Participants will need water and/or a mat/towel. Not necessary but helps to already have a visual in your mind or a specific picture in hand when the time to focus on a “Happy Place” and something herbally fragrant to soothe and relax such as Lavender Mint Basil or Eucalyptus. You can always use the scent of coconut oil or a citrus lemon or orange. Sessions will be available to view live and prerecorded.

Warm-up Body & Core and then continues into a rigorous interval training sequence with high-intensity exercises that build cardiovascular fitness while improving muscular strength, endurance, and coordination.  Work out ends with a fusion of Yoga and Pilates-inspired stretches and breathing techniques.
 

World Beats w Brenda Perdue URSF

Celebrating a variety of world rhythms and cultures from all over the world, but focusing on one rhythm per session with dance instruction. Brenda Perdue provides how-to instruction on a specific rhythm of the day that will involve high-intensity that will build cardiovascular fitness while improving dance technique endurance and coordination. World Beats will cover  All Latino Rhythms (Salsa, Merengue, Cumbia, Samba, Reggaeton, ...) Cha Cha Cha, Flamenco, Reggae, Soca, West African, Pop, and Hip Hop. This is a class the family can do with their children. Participants will need water.

All-inclusive dance fitness that celebrates all of the Countries of Latin America. Latino Rhythms such as Salsa, Merengue, Cumbia, Samba, Reggaeton, Cha Cha Cha, Flamenco, and more.

BRENDA PERDUE, Director & Producer of United Rhythms San Francisco provides all-inclusive dance fitness specializing in World BeatRhythms covering  All Latino Rhythms (Salsa, Merengue, Cumbia, Samba, Reggaeton, Cha Cha Cha, Flamenco...) and Reggae, Soca, West African, Pop and Hip Hop. The group thrives with collaborative ties to the community to share a component of each culture.

ZUMBA

“Zumba” is a Latin-style (Salsa, Merengue, Cumbia, Reggaeton, Bachata, Soca, Samba, Flamenco, Cha-Cha, and Quebradita) dance exercise program fused with Hip Hop and other International Rhythms such as West African and Afro Beats.  Exercise in disguise that is fun and safe. No prior dance experience is necessary – anyone can do it. The classes create cardiovascular benefits by the use of upbeat fast and slow rhythms. The music keeps people coming back for more. 

 

ZUMBA TONING

The purpose of the Zumba Toning Program is to create a light resistance training fitness experience that is FUN, SAFE, & EFFECTIVE!  Zumba Toning utilizes muscle toning and sculpting exercises and combines them with the dance-fitness movements and rhythms from Zumba Basics. The toning and body sculpting exercises either use body resistance movements (for example, lunges and/or squats) and/or utilize light hand weights or Zumba Toning sticks for added resistance.   Zumba Toning is a great way to add a little extra spice to your regular Zumba.

Participants will need water and possibly a mat and/or towel.

 

ZUMBA SENTAO

Zumba Sentao combines strength and resistance exercises with cool dance moves on and around a chair, which includes rocking Zumba® party dance rhythms and international flavors.  Zumba Sentao class is super effectively working your core muscles (your 'abs' and midsection). Normally this kind of exercise is very hard for most people to do while lying on the ground (the dreaded v-sit or bicycle exercise).  It is much easier to do in a chair, & very effective.

Kids Move w Brenda Perdue

Through freestyle and guided dance your child will play games such as “Center Star”, “Simone Says”, “Red Light Green Light Go,” “Freeze Dance” that are appropriate for kids and to live a healthy lifestyle.  Your child will be encouraged to move to the new rhythms and styles of music/culture. All classes are taught to not only cultivate individuality & creativity, but also to develop confidence, leadership, respect, teamwork, and responsibility.  Kids will need water.

 

ZUMBA for Kids

Through dance, exercise, and music, Zumba for Kids is a healthy way for kids to be encouraged to develop a healthy lifestyle.  Zumba for Kids will teach your kids new rhythms and styles of music/culture. All classes are taught to not only cultivate individuality & creativity, but also to develop confidence, leadership, respect, teamwork, and responsibility.  Zumba for Kids involves dancing pre-choreographed music taught to the children in segments. Kids will need water.
